Patterdale Village Store is a long-established shop operating as a convenience store and post office offering a range of confectionery, newspapers, magazines, tobacco, wines, beers and spirits, groceries, gifts, ice cream, cards, toiletries, walking & camping equipment, maps, home-made bread, sandwiches and hot drinks. Location
The village of Patterdale lies at the southern end of Ullswater about a mile south of the neighbouring village of Glenridding surrounded by some of the most dramatic and scenic fells of the Lake District including the Helvellyn Range. The village is at the heart of the Lakes on the A592 about 12 miles north of Windermere via the Kirkstone Pass and 12 miles south of Penrith and the M6 Junction 40.  This is a most popular tourist destination with numerous hotels, holiday cottages and camping and caravan sites in the area and there is also a village church and school.
